Track season is just about halfway through and there is already so much to be proud of in both middle school and high school! They’ve set lots of new PRs, but here are some highlights so far: Middle School: Elainna Delacal: Third Place finish at Okemah in the 100 hurdles and it was her first time running them! Shyan Snelson: First Place in the Girls Discus and Fourth Place in the Girls Shot Put! High School: Adena Fowler: Currently ranked 10th in 2A Girls for the 800m run with a time of 2:39.52! 2 Mile Relay Team (Malaziah Carter, Korbyn Anderson, Jaycie Berry, Adena Fowler): Currently ranked 9th in 2A Girls with a time of 11:43.75! Great job!!

All Dewar Students will be given protective eyewear for eclipse viewing on Monday, April 8. 3 year olds & PreK students will have the opportunity to view the eclipse during the optimal viewing time with their class. K-12th grade students will participate in the Eclipse Extravaganza at the football field. Parents/Guardians who wish to opt their student out of viewing the eclipse may do so by completing and returning the Opt-Out Form.

Monday, March 25th was the 1st Annual Dewar Dragon Career Expo. All Dewar students grades Kindergarten to 12th attended the Career Expo at the Dewar-First Baptist Church. Students began with an opening ceremony and welcome by Kenny Baker of Cactus Drilling. Then students went to guest speakers, The OSUIT Experience, Indoor Tradeshow and an Outdoor Tradeshow. From trades/ technical to professional careers and everything in between, it was a fantastic day. Thank you to all of the presenters and volunteers. Thank you so much to Mrs. DeBock, Mrs. Anderson, & Mrs. Jones for organizing this for our students and community!
