BLOOD DRIVE CANCELED 🚨

The blood drive scheduled for today, September 2, has been canceled.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate everyone who planned to donate. Please help us spread the word!

We were recently informed that a funeral service in town will include a 22-gun salute to honor the individual who has passed. We understand that hearing gunfire may be alarming, especially during this stressful time, so we wanted everyone to be aware.
Please know that there is no cause for alarm, and law enforcement remains on campus as an added precaution.

IMPORTANT VISITOR PARKING REMINDER

All visitors to Dewar Public Schools must park in the designated Visitor Parking area behind the Head Start building.

Please DO NOT pull or drive through campus.

After parking, visitors should walk to the walk-up gates to enter campus.

For the safety of our students and staff, we appreciate everyone following these procedures.

Since we were out of school yesterday, we are giving everyone ONE MORE DAY to get payments turned in.

Dewar Public Schools will be in session tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1. The threat reported to the district is still being actively investigated by law enforcement. As an added safety precaution, local law enforcement will be on site throughout the school day. The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority. We appreciate the patience, understanding, and cooperation of our families and community as this investigation continues. Any additional updates will be shared through official Dewar Public Schools communication channels.

IMPORTANT SCHOOL CLOSURE NOTICE Dewar Public Schools will NOT be in session on Monday, August 31. We have been made aware of a threat involving our school district. Out of an abundance of caution and with the safety of our students and staff as our highest priority, we believe closing school is the appropriate action at this time. Law enforcement has been notified and is aware of the situation. We understand that this may cause concern for our families and community. We will share additional information and updates as they become available. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and school community.

Midwest Sports will be here tomorrow at 11:00 AM for students to order letter jackets and letter jacket patches. Students and any parents who would like to attend should meet in the main office at 11:00 AM.

Every Day Counts!

Here is a list of the days we will be out of school so families can plan vacations and appointments around the school calendar.

Please note: Homecoming is scheduled for the Thursday of Fall Break. We hope to see Dragon Nation there!

Celebrate your favorite Dewar student in this year’s football programs!

Parents and families may purchase a color recognition ad for any Dewar student in any grade—not just football players!

We will have five home games and three different program designs:

• Regular Season Program — used at three games
• Senior Night Program
• Homecoming Program

Ads featured in all three program designs:

• Full page — $100
• Half page — $75
• Quarter page — $50

A full-page ad in only the Senior Night or Homecoming program is $50.

Include photos and a special message to show your Dragon how proud you are! All orders, payments, photos, and messages are due by August 31.

Order this year’s Dewar Yearbook now at the lowest price of the year! Beginning September 18, the price will increase to $35.
