welcome

Welcome to Dewar Public Schools, Mrs. Kari Beth Fulton!

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Kari Beth Fulton as our new Middle School Principal & Academic Counselor!

Mrs. Fulton is originally from Checotah, Oklahoma, and brings nearly two decades of experience in education. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Education from Northeastern State University before completing two master's degrees at East Central University in School Counseling and School Administration.

Her educational journey began in 2007 at Hartshorne High School, where she taught English II and English IV while serving as the Yearbook Advisor. She later worked as a school counselor at Henryetta High School, followed by nine years as the Junior High and High School Counselor at Oktaha High School. Most recently, she served as the Junior High and High School Counselor at Quinton High School before joining the Dragon family.

When asked why she chose Dewar, Mrs. Fulton shared:

"Throughout my career, I have been passionate about building relationships with students, families, and staff. When the opportunity to join Dewar Public Schools became available, I knew it was the right fit because of the district's strong community values and commitment to student success. It is an honor to be a Dewar Dragon, and I look forward to building on the school's traditions while helping lead it into the future."

She is most excited about building meaningful relationships with students, staff, families, and the community while supporting teachers, encouraging student growth, and helping create a positive school culture.

Outside of school, Mrs. Fulton enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her children in their athletic and extracurricular activities.

A message from Mrs. Fulton:

"Great things are happening at Dewar Public Schools, and I couldn't be more excited to begin the new school year! I look forward to welcoming our students, staff, and families as we work together to make this our best year yet. Let's make it a great year to be a Dragon!"

Please help us give Mrs. Kari Beth Fulton a warm Dragon welcome!
