Welcome to Dragon Nation, Mrs. Jennifer Jackson!

Please help us welcome Mrs. Jennifer Jackson to Dewar Public Schools! Mrs. Jackson joins Dragon Nation as our new Instructional Coach and English I Teacher.

Originally from Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Mrs. Jackson brings 24 years of teaching experience and 20 years of coaching basketball, track, and cross country. Much of her career was spent at Warner Public Schools, where she helped build an outstanding tradition of academic excellence. Most recently, she served as Instructional Coach and Curriculum Director at Pocola Public Schools.

Mrs. Jackson earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Northeastern State University.

Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her dedication to education, including being named Teacher of the Year at Warner Public Schools in 2016. She was also selected as an OTEP Lead Teacher during the 2023–2024 school year and has served as a mentor teacher to support fellow educators throughout her career.

When asked what drew her to Dewar, Mrs. Jackson shared:

"Dewar's rich tradition in athletics is what caught my attention initially, which was something I wanted my youngest son to be a part of. However, their eagerness and commitment to creating the same strong tradition in their academics is what sealed the deal for me."

She is especially excited to support teachers as an instructional coach while also returning to the classroom to teach English I.

Outside of school, Mrs. Jackson enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering on her children at their sporting events, and staying active through walking and exercise.

Mrs. Jackson and her husband, Jeremy, have been married for 24 years and are the proud parents of Jace, Jordan, and Jake.

We're excited to have Mrs. Jackson join the Dragon family and can't wait to see the impact she'll make on our students and staff.

Welcome to Dragon Nation, Mrs. Jackson!
