🐉 Welcome Back to Dragon Nation, Mrs. Tonya Wilkinson! 🧡🖤
We are excited to officially welcome Tonya Wilkinson back to Dewar Public Schools as our new 5th Grade Teacher!
Mrs. Wilkinson is a familiar face to many in our district. Before retiring, she spent 20 years teaching at Dewar Elementary and 4 years at Henryetta Elementary. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education in both Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Northeastern State University and is a National Board Certified Early Childhood Specialist.
After spending the 2025-2026 school year substituting throughout Dewar, from elementary to high school, Mrs. Wilkinson knew it was time to return to the classroom. As she puts it, "Once A Dragon, Always A Dragon!" 🐉
She is looking forward to teaching alongside Mrs. Rowe as they help challenge, encourage, and inspire our fifth-grade students.
Outside of school, Mrs. Wilkinson enjoys spending time with her family, grandchildren, and church. She also loves gardening, reading, taking long nature walks, observing wildlife, feeding birds, and identifying old, mature trees. (She says it's just the science lover in her! 🌳🐦)
