🐉 Meet the Dragons – Emily Miller 🐉
Please join us in welcoming Emily Miller to Dewar Public Schools as our newest Paraprofessional!
Emily is from Okmulgee and earned her Paraprofessional Certification in Special Education from Green Country Technology Center. She also served as a volunteer paraprofessional at Dewar during the 2025–2026 school year.
Before joining the school setting, Emily spent nearly four years working one-on-one as a full-time nanny for a child with complex medical and developmental needs, including CHARGE syndrome. Through that experience, she worked alongside therapists and caregivers to support communication, mobility, daily learning, and developmental goals. Her time in this role strengthened her skills in patience, adaptability, individualized support, and building meaningful relationships.
Emily chose Dewar because she wanted to continue supporting a student she has cared for over the past several years while becoming part of a team dedicated to helping every child succeed. She is passionate about making a positive difference in students' lives and is excited to continue learning and growing alongside the incredible staff at Dewar.
In her new role, Emily looks forward to building meaningful relationships with students, celebrating their successes, and helping them grow in confidence each day.
Outside of school, Emily enjoys spending time with her daughter, cheering her on at softball and cheer events, gardening, and caring for her father.
Welcome to the Dragon family, Emily! We're excited to have you on our team and can't wait to see the positive impact you'll make on our students and school community. 🧡🖤
