Welcome to Dewar Public Schools, Mrs. Lorri Henry!

We are excited to welcome Lorri Henry to the Dragon Family as our new Elementary Special Education Teacher!

Mrs. Henry is a proud graduate of East Central University, where she earned her bachelor's degree. She is currently completing her master's degree in Special Education. Before joining Dewar, she served as a Special Education English Language Arts and Resource Teacher at Henryetta Middle School.

When asked why she chose Dewar Public Schools, Mrs. Henry shared that the close-knit community and small-town atmosphere have always felt like home. Having made many meaningful memories in the Dewar community throughout her life, she is excited to begin this new chapter here.

She is especially looking forward to building relationships with students, collaborating with fellow teachers and staff, and creating a positive learning environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive. She says she can't wait to experience the joy, curiosity, and excitement that each school day brings.

Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Henry enjoys spending time with her church family at Dewar Baptist Church, making memories with friends and family, and being "RhoRho" to her wonderful grandchildren. During her quiet time, you'll often find her watching classic movies or enjoying a good Southern Gothic novel.
