Welcome to Dewar Public Schools, Mrs. Kristie Stidman!
We are excited to welcome Kristie Stidman to the Dragon Family as our new Special Education Director!
Mrs. Stidman earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, Master of Education in School Psychometry, and Master of Education in Educational Leadership from East Central University. She brings a wealth of experience in special education, having most recently served as the Special Education Director and Elementary Special Education Teacher at Twin Hills. She has also taught at Henryetta, Graham, and Hanna, giving her years of experience serving students and supporting educators.
Mrs. Stidman shared that she was drawn to Dewar Public Schools because of its culture of collaboration, respect, and strong communication. She wanted to be part of a team that shares those same professional values and is committed to student success.
In her new role, she is excited to build upon the strong special education program already in place. She looks forward to working alongside administrators, teachers, and families to strengthen services, ensure compliance, and foster an environment where teamwork, communication, and student success guide every decision.
Outside of school, Mrs. Stidman enjoys crocheting, relaxing at home with her dogs, and spending quality time with her family.
One fun connection to Dragon Nation is that her husband attended Dewar Public Schools during elementary school, her mother-in-law is a retired Dewar educator, and her niece graduated from Dewar this past May.
Please join us in giving Mrs. Kristie Stidman a warm Dragon welcome! We are excited to have her leadership, experience, and passion for students as part of the Dewar family.
Welcome to Dragon Nation!
